Interior walls

Clients take comfort in the way they feel inside their spaces after painting. Many feel inspired or calm depending on their goal for that space. Homes look aesthetically clean, and many clients feel inspired in the kitchen and offices, or calm in the bedrooms, thanks to the chosen color and the perfect application of paint.

After the color and paint type are chosen and we are ready to start the job, we cover (mask) all areas that are not being painted. We start by cleaning all surfaces to make them dust-free and detailing any damages or imperfections that we can address – with repaint jobs, this is especially important. We then prime walls to seal in any exposed surfaces. For smooth finishes, we sand down to ensure the surfaces are flat. A plaster wall requires specific procedures to keep its integrity and longevity. Throughout the process, we look for any imperfections that we can address to ensure a consistent outcome. After preparation and priming, we can start coating with paint, with several coats to achieve the rich and accurate color throughout.

In this Point Richmond home, we helped the homeowner to create a calm blend of colors, bringing harmony to the environment.

The homeowner of this beautiful space in El Cerrito opted for a lighter shade, which makes the space seem larger and allows the sunlight reflecting off the ceiling to bounce further into the space.

Ceilings

The majority of the time, we look past ceilings, which is actually the goal: not to bring attention to what’s above.

Ceilings actually play a key role in an interior home’s environment. For example, a lighter shade for a ceiling can make a space look and feel larger than it actually is.

Ceiling paint color can also draw in natural light deeper into the spaces of a home. Similar to a plaster wall, a plaster ceiling requires specific procedures to keep its integrity and longevity.

Interior Trim

Interior trim ties everything together in a home. Trim brings rooms together or keeps them separated. Expect to have a beautiful surface that you can feel, and that will last for a long time to come.

Trim is typically bright and shiny, and, thus, we make sure to take care of any imperfections in the trim beforehand, so the final product reflects the way our clients want see it for their homes. We run a meticulous procedure of inspecting the trim surfaces to make sure all trim to be painted is treated properly. From masking in detail, patching and sanding to allow smooth finishes, specific primers are used for the correct substrate and previous coatings, to the final application process of painting the interior trim appropriately.

Exterior Painting Services

Proper exterior painting protects structures from time and the elements – giving homeowners confidence their home will last, in addition to loving the look and feel of their home. We treat substrates based on each type. Wood and composite siding/trim can deteriorate quickly and can rot away if not properly sealed. When treating wood rot, we strengthen the wood and protect it from spreading.

The East Bay area has a lot of Craftsman homes, and each home provides beautiful and unique features. Victorian home painting is a special, technical project that requires meticulous attention to achieve proper results. From new construction painting to modern home painting, all can be achieved to protect your home sustainably. In this Lafayette home, we created a patina finish on the front awning and painted the door to match the red trim to highlight their entrance.

Stucco

New exterior stucco painting or repainting existing stucco gives a recognizable charm when paired with the right color and correct product. Stucco homes have unique finishes that create such appeal. When treating a stucco home, the product can do wonders for the durability of the structure. Elastomeric is a product that is specifically formulated for masonry/ concrete homes. It creates a flexible barrier that protects from water intrusion and expands or shrinks with the temperature. Painting an exterior stucco/ concrete structure allows for the substrate to be coated and sealed for years to come.

Exterior Doors

The front door of your home is the entrance into your comfort zone. For front door painting or staining, we work with you on colors of your choosing that both highlights and helps to define your home’s entryway.

When painting the exterior of an entire home, front door painting is typically the final step in the exterior process. The hardware is removed to allow ease of application, and the door is prepared by cleaning, buffing existing coats to allow for a smooth finish, and given a high-grade paint that can withstand the weather front doors receive.

Staining a natural wood door is a different process depending on the current condition. If paint exists, it will be stripped and sanded to smooth the wood, followed by a pre-conditioner to allow the stain to be uniform throughout the door.

Exterior Windows

Exterior window painting can be a delicate process, depending on the types of windows that are in place. Exterior window painting starts with checking the functionality of the windows to make sure that ease of use is possible, and if the windows’ use can be increased. We then pinpoint the areas that may have weather intrusion and make sure to seal those properly to create the duration of the window itself, along with the paint that is being applied.

The end goal is a functional window that moves effortlessly, retaining the color choice, allowing the enjoyment of a clean look.

This home in Richmond has so many elements that stand out, but the windows were a plus to complement the natural elements at play.

Kitchen cabinet painting

Kitchen cabinet painting is such a transformation for a property. A tedious procedure that requires removing all hardware and labeling all pieces to ensure reinstallation is a breeze. In between those phases comes a multi-step process that starts with cleaning, masking, and sanding to open the pores of the wood before beginning any primer or painting. Primer and paint play a vital role in the durability of such a high-traffic area.

Kitchen cabinet painting or kitchen cabinet staining allows a revitalized look to a space and secures a finish to last for years to come.

Albany experiences a multitude of weather microclimates, and this deck is ready for all of them. You might notice the homeowner opted for a granite rock cut into the deck's design.

Outdoor Staining and Sealing

Staining and sealing exterior wood adds extra benefit beyond just appeal; products have fire retardant and UV exposure protection built into them. We have always loved the look of natural wood, the grains as they flow through the pieces, waving and interchanging from end to end. Staining and sealing decks, homes, and fences can amplify the natural tones in the wood or can be opaque to give a more monochromatic look. There’s a wide variety of options to choose from that will all create longevity.

Metail Railing Painting

Metal railing painting can accomplish an elegant metal look when duly handled to ensure a rust inhibitor is used to have the metal last for years to come.
